If you are a triathlete, open water swimmer or swimrunner then you are certainly looking to swim faster. With the Swimming Coach RACE Online you will surely do so by improving your aerobic capacity. It is the key to faster swimming over longer distances. Of course, you need to hone your technique at the same time, which you also do with this course. With Race Online  you get a structured  plan of 14 weeks where we focus on swimming around threshold speed with less rest. This will develop your aerobic system significantly and is exactly what you need to become a better distance swimmer. As I said, you will also get to practice a lot of technique! Every week there is a technical theme which will make you more energy efficient in the water.

 

During 14 weeks, you will therefore work with both technique and speed based on your threshold speed, ditt CSS (Critical Swim Speed). So what is threshold speed and how do we get it? Here's how: The first session you swim 400 meters or 200 meters where you TAKE IN and get really tired. The times from there are converted in an app (you send your times to indo@simcoachen.se) and you get a value back to your current swimming form. It is this speed that we should have as a base and work on during the course and slowly but surely "massage" and then improve. It is a demanding speed but "doable" and should have nothing to do with lactic acid.

 

This is included in the course: 

- two sessions per week focusing on building better technique and improving speed over longer distances

- instructional videos on all technique exercises

-  weekly video coaching where Coach AK talks about the focus and purpose of the week

- calculation of your current swimming form (you email your times to Coach AK)
